Abstract

The analysis of the 2013 teaching mathematics book was carried out to evaluate and provide recommendations regarding student learning resources references so that learning can be more optimal from the aspect of learning achievement and changes in the character of students. The study of Class X SMK/MAK books published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in the 5th printing of the 2017 publication year (revised edition) because it is seen as a reference book prepared by the government in the context of implementing the 2013 Curriculum and Trigonometry Comparative Materials. The selection of this material is considered difficult, complex, and requires prerequisite material to study it. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with interview data collection techniques for three SMK Mathematics teachers. The results of the study show that there are shortcomings in student and teacher textbooks, ranging from design designs, materials that do not hone higher thinking (HOTs), and do not accommodate 21st century learning, namely critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. For this reason, the textbook is recommended for revision.
