Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to increase student’s activities and learning achievement score. This research implemented Problem Centered Learning methods. This research type is a Classroom Actions Research (CAR) of two cycles, there are two classes in each cycles. The topic in the research is a computational operations of algebraic form. The research methods are documentation, observation, test and interview. The data analyze in this research are student’s activities and student’s achievement score teacher’s activities. The research show that the student activities attaine 65,43% in the first cycles and 70,10% in second cycles. The teacher activities attaine 77,08% in the first cycles and 91,67% in second cycles, and the achievement score attaine 80% in the first cycles and 88,57% in second cycles. It can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Centered Learning model is able to improve student learning outcome.
